Waiting game

- July 3rd, 2012

People are waiting with baited breath for Zach Parise to make a decision. My sources say he has been offered massive money by the Philadelphia Flyers and that’s why the process is being held up.
Does he take $20-to-$30 million more than he has been offered from other teams or accept the Flyers as his new destination. Must be tough, you certainly can’t spend it all.
The Penguins are selling the fact they’ve got a winner. They can’t afford to give him more than Sidney Crosby. He will be the No. 1 paid player in Pittsburgh and that’s the way it’s got to stay.
I don’t really think there is an option of staying in New Jersey. He would have signed there if he had had the chance. He decided not to accept the deal.
He’s going to get $25 million in upfront bonus money.
The wait continues. There was supposed to be a decision yesterday and it didn’t happen. There might be a decision today. Who knows?

Bruce, couple questions for you… any chance the Sens would get back in on Nash or Ryan? What type if package was offered to CLB? What would it take entice Anaheim?
