LONDON – You can bet on just about anything here and legally, too.
So it comes as little surprise you can put some quid on whether or not James Bond will light the Olympic torch tonight at the opening ceremony.
According to Ladbrokes, 007 is 7-1 to to be there at a key moment of the ceremony (if he is doing it, maybe ‘Q’ could come up with cool way for him to do it, like having him fly into the stadium using the rocket pack from Thunderball. Just a thought.)
Anyway, Sir Steve Redgrave, the much decorated rower, is the favourite to light the torch at even odds.
“The reigning monarch” is 4-1, Sir Roger Bannister, the first man to run a sub-four minute mile, is 13-8, and soccer god David Beckham is 7-1.
Who do you think it’s going to be?
