Capt. America 1990 didn't take itself seriously and was, if I recall, straight-to-dvd or vhs back then. Anyway, it's a collector piece for geekdom. B+R: yup, as bad as it gets. DD: not great but not bad, never understood why it appears on these lists. Elektra was watered down though, good description, that. PWZ had potential but yes, the script blew. Punisher-Lundgren had Lundgren, 'nuff said. Green Lantern: take the mulligan and write a script that approaches sensibility and reboot for the sake of JLA. JHex had Megan Fox, 'nuff said. Too bad. There's always space on my shelf for a good western. IronMan3, Wolverine and Thor2 really look same-old same-old, but am really looking fwd to Man of Steel.

You forgot the horrible Fantastic Four (1994). Granted, all the Fantastic Four movies have been clunkers, but this film is unwatchable. And, if memory serves, was unreleased on any format ... a film made to retain movie rights and then relegated to some obscure archive. It'd have to be near the top of the list.

The list is pretty much spot on but in humble opinion Iron Man 3 was dreadful and over all the 3 movies are so over rated its pathetic . Only the first one was decent but the last 2 have soured my taste of any Marvel sequels in the future . I'm hoping they don't drop the ball with Thor and Captain America .

The introduction of Ghost Rider came through an Avengers storyline so I hope they can find the guts to do it in the big screen.....

Feige may believe the role of Tony Stark can be 'evergeen', but I doubt fans of Iron Man or The Avengers would agree. Either brand without Robert Downey Jr. will tank.

I think it would be cool to create a more realistic hulk film that really showed the destructiveness of the creature - kind of a Cloverfield style Hulk film. The Hulk can be equally heroic and terrifying and has the potential to be a Godzilla-strength force of nature. Hulk movies (and TV) so far seem to make him more tragic than anything else (Avengers not included).

What would it really be like if the Hulk went on a rampage in the US? Pretty damned terrifying I would imagine - would everyone just go to work and school and conduct business as usual if the Hulk were just a few hundred miles away and possibly minutes from you if he started in your direction, with the armed forces hot on his trail?

I could not disagree more with your list. Some of the movies you picked are actually quite entertaining(Daredevil, Electra, Cat Woman), unlike The Dark Knight with Heath Ledger and Christian Bale. The Dark Knight takes itself too seriously and is completely lacking in any sense of fun. The worst super hero movie of all time. Batman and Robin is better entertainment.

I can understand Mark Daniell's feelings about the first Punisher movie and the third, but I thought Thomas Jane's take on the character was pretty decent. There's even a short film called Dirty Laundry that features Jane as the character, and he still nailed it.

Other than that, I agree with his choices.

B&R isn't just the worst superhero film of all time, it's also the worst movie of any genre. Yet, somehow, my kids love it.

"Fitzgerald it ain’t." Let's be glad of that.
AILD is one of my favourite books. Might be looking at a surprise Oscar contender here.

While I love the Coens, the trailer for their latest underwhelms. Sure hope it's up to their usual standards.
