Mark Ruffalo wants eco-friendly Hulk movie

- January 20th, 2014

Mark Ruffalo might want to talk up his latest film Infinitely Polar Bear, but the question everyone wants answered is: What does he think of Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron and, more importantly, will we see Hulk smash in his own standalone movie?

Last week, Scarlett Johansson called Joss Whedon’s Avengers script “very cerebral” with a “glass-cutting sense of humour.”

During an interview with MTV at Sundance, the actor elaborated on Johansson’s summary saying: “I would say that it’s better, it’s cooler, it’s more awesomer… It’s a little bit darker, but also really has Joss Whedon’s incredibly, witty and sly sense of humour… [Bruce Banner] gets to do such great stuff.”

In a separate interview with Total Film, Ruffalo was asked about integrating pro-environment messages into his films, particularly The Avengers and a possible standalone Hulk film.

“The fact that all these doomsday and end-of-times movies are coming out is because we’re actually working that out in the culture…I’m in The Avengers, but if you took my screentime it would come to about ten minutes, along with the 12 other people I’m sharing the screen with, so my input’s kind of limited on that. But if we get to a standalone Hulk movie, I’ll have a much better chance to do that. I’m just learning now how to find my voice and bring it into the studio world.”

So when/if we get a Hulk film, he could be really, really green. What do you think of an eco-friendly Hulk? Sound off in the comments.

I go to watch an interesting story and to experience some escapism when watching a movie. The last thing I want is to pay to listen to a sermon, ESPECIALLY some lefty preaching about the environment.

    More eco-lecturing, Heaven help us!

    …or if you’re a diehard fan of Skyrim…

    Gods help us!

I have an idea……lets stop trying to make these movies with super heroes having some kind of lame subliminal message, and watch the hulk massacre a bunch of people…..hows that for a message? Hulk smashes everyone and everything…..THE END.
