- January 27th, 2014

Attention X-Men fans, Empire is releasing an unprecedented 25 variant covers for its latest issue which will be bringing readers all things related to Bryan Singer’s upcoming Days of Future Past.

The covers were revealed in a flurry of tweets courtesy of Singer and film’s official Twitter account. Among the new images we’re getting a look at: Evan Jonigkeit’s Toad, the Sentinels, Havoc, Quicksilver, Warpath and a younger version of returning villain, William Stryker.

Of course, there’s a the always-beautiful Jennifer Lawrence looking perfectly nude and blue, as well has Hugh Jackman’s shredded Wolverine (on two covers) and Michael Fassbender’s young Magneto and James McAvoy’s young Charles Xavier. Even Anna Paquin, who was cut from the film, appears on one of the promotional covers.

You can check out some of the covers below. For the full 25, head over to Empire. You can also read all of our Days of Future Past coverage here.

The reaction to Quicksilver, who will also appear in a different form in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, was far from enthusiastic, with fans comparing the design to Burger King’s Kid Vid and actor Corey Feldman.

Hey wheres the Gold Foil variant cover of Byran Zingger flushing the original script down the toilet… Did he also get a job with Marvel to print comics now… well messing up movies, he may as well mess up another comic media…

To PC, not sure what your issue is with Bryan Singer, but he’s the director that this Xmen Series needs. I believe he’s honestly thr only 1 I would trust to bring the Original Xmen Class with New Xmen Edge. The real Enemy was Brett Ratner, who with 1 movie, put a Stain on the Xmen Franchise, a stain that even Singer stated was really unfortunate that he was given “No Choice” but to deal with results that came from such a Horrible Storyline on order to connect all the movie’s together etc. I just get a knot of excitement & utter disappointment that Singer wasn’t able to finish the initial Trilogy he intended, the Tease @ the end of the 2nd Film shows that he had an epic vision of where to take the “Pheonix Saga” Storyline. So I’m willing to ‘Eat Crow’, as it were, should this Xmen Movie fail though I can’t believe that it will. Singer is just too invested in ensuring he gives the Fan’s an honest True to form Xmen that won’t disappoint. In the End, this ain’t no Superman Returns repeat, just give the man some credit where it’s & he’s proven it twice already. -Enjoy the Film ;) Matt-

Matt sorry but Singer is the last man we need on the series. granted Xmen 1 was good but on 2 he already started to wreck things. Had he stood for the essence of the series then he could already have made the phoenix saga truer to as it was really scripted and then gasp allow a smoother transition into not only x men 3, the Days of future past, but other films coming in the pipe line. Guardians of the Galaxy, with a seque into avengers even if desired. Lets not forget he abandined x men 3, as he saw he couldnt fix his own mess started in x men 2 to do a grand flop Superman returns. I mean if Guillermo del Toro can say bye bye when he is against how things progress so could Bryan if the essence of the art was so critical… there was a reason he got the no thanks on Man of Steel…. Disney please wake up… Mr Zingger out and anybody else please…. maybe Jay Olivia…. he did Flah Flash Point animated movie grant you but man… that was a superhero movie!!!
