Those Marvel superheros might still be packing in moviegoers, but DC has been carefully teasing The Dark Knight Rises – due out July 20.
After an online dossier that shows Batman is wanted for six deaths, kidnapping and assault and a brand new trailer earlier this month, film bosses behind Christopher Nolan’s final Batman film have unveiled a new poster.
Building on the crumbling Gotham look from the teaser poster that came out last summer, the new ad shows the caped crusader standing in front of a burning bat logo.
A foreboding slogan warns that: “A Fire Will Rise.”
There has been some talk that Batman may die in this final story arc of Nolan’s series (especially with the film poster’s other tagline: “The Legend Ends.”)
Since Warner has already said they are rebooting the franchise after the Nolan-Christian Bale run is done, that would make for a cool piece of storytelling. But I don’t see DC letting the series end on such a downer.
Oh, if you’ve been under a rock, The Dark Knight Rises is set eight years after the events of the previous film and finds Batman (Christian Bale) battling the genetically-enhanced Bane (Tom Hardy) and Catwoman (Anne Hathaway).
Check out the trailer below and let us know: Do you think Batman will die at the end of The Dark Knight Rises?

I don`t think he`ll die but he will end up in a wheelchair from a broken back.
