‘Transformers 4: Age of Extinction’ trailer shows off dinobots

- March 4th, 2014

The first official trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction has barrelled through the prehistoric ages and landed online.

The first official trailer for the fourth instalment in the blockbuster franchise chips away a little further at the main story we’ll expect to see in the film, as well as reintroducing us to the heavily anticipated dinobots.

From what we can see in the trailer above, it all starts when Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) picks up a rusted old truck he’s hoping to repair and sell off for a decent dollar, all in an attempt to be able to pay for his daughter Tessa’s (Nicola Peltz) college tuition.

Upon repair, however, Cade notices that his truck isn’t a run of the mill vehicle, but instead turns out to be the infamous Optimus Prime.

The FBI appears at Cade’s house where he’s storing the Autobot, led by Kelsey Grammar, and that’s pretty much the moment all hell breaks loose.

The best part, however, isn’t found in Mark Wahlberg’s less than enticing financial drama, but in the dinobots we’ve been teased with for months.

These are the most ferocious, vicious group of deceptacons we’ve been treated to (from the looks it) since the franchise began, and that’s just from the small amount of footage they’ve compacted into the two and a half minute trailer.

But nonetheless, the high octane action scenes are back, and the change in cast isn’t an unwelcome one.

What do you think? Are you excited or worried? Are the dinobots cool or trying too hard?
