Fellas, if you’re like me – conniving, manipulative, and always needing to get your way – then you’ve already started laying the groundwork to make sure that next Valentine’s Day goes your way.

I’m talking you, your lady, John McClane and an assortment of stuff blowing up. Maybe flowers will be mixed in there somewhere.

So to get you more stoked, the good folks at EW have released the first teaser poster from A Good Day to Die Hard, the fifth film in Bruce Willis’ long-running action series.

And, along with this cheeky new poster, comes a brand new trailer, giving us some more action and revealing one key plot point in the new film: the McClane’s don’t hug.

This time around, the action takes place in Russia. And though that might have been because of tax breaks, the action (courtesy of director John Moore) looks slick. Just like the first film, it appears A Good Day to Die Hard will have about a five-minute preamble before stuff starts blowing up.

And that’s a good thing.

‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ trailer debuts

- October 4th, 2012

Not to be outdone by yesterday’s Lone Ranger teaser clip, 20th Century Fox has just released the first trailer for Die Hard 5.

Titled A Good Day To Die Hard, the fifth instalment cues Beethoven’s 9th Symphony to new and improved mayhem courtesy of Bruce Willis’ smirking John McClane and director John Moore.

Not yet retired, the film finds McClane and his son (Jai Courtney) battling a new group of villains in Russia. We don’t know who they are, or what they’re about, and in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Courtney was keeping his lips sealed.

“I can’t say much about the villains without giving it away,” he told the magazine.

And after ‘Yippie ki-yaying’ his way through parts 1-4, it seems this time Willis is trying out a new line. ‘The 007 of Planfield, New Jersey,’ he says.

For me, McClane can do no wrong so if there is one person I’m looking forward to seeing blow s— up this winter, it’s him. And even though he’s getting up there, he still has no trouble kicking ass.

“I’m just older,” he told me in 2010. “I don’t bounce off the floor like I used to, but people still carry me to the set on their backs, they ask me to lay down a lot during takes and just rest. I drink a lot of tea … warm milk.”

Since that interview, Willis has busted chops in Looper, The Expendables 2, G.I. Joe 2 (due next year), and he’s currently being put through the paces yet again in a sequel to Red.

So yeah, I’ll take Bruce any day of the week.

A Good Day To Die Hard will be released February 14, 2013. Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
