You know, I just have to say this. I used to be a big fan of Community (NBC, Citytv). Now I am a less dedicated, quasi-fan of the show. But it is fascinating how disproportionate the hand-wringing and supposed fan dedication is over this series, considering its ratings. I give it credit for being different, and as I said, I used to be a big fan. But Community is not a hit. It never has been a hit. It probably has been too clever to be a hit on network TV. So fans were “outraged” when this show was shelved for a while. Now they’re “outraged” that showrunner Dan Harmon has been fired. If only all that outrage were reflected in eyeballs. Bottom line, I guess, is that for a show I used to really like, and still admire in a general way, I am actually sick of hearing about Community. Does this make me a bad person?
