I was highly skeptical about TWD when my friend told me about the series. I reluctantly watched S1E1 on the DVD he lent me. WOW! It was so good that I've purchased S1 and S2 on Blu-ray. Gritty and suspenseful. Our friends Ang and Ray are now hooked after years at making fun of the show. Schmoopie is still holding out but I'm working on her. It's just a matter of time before everyone will be glued to their TV sets at 9PM every Sunday night.

If the two choices are watching a bunch of drooling, violent, brain dead people, and watching The Walking Dead, well, sorry Grammy Awards, you're not getting my vote. Music has become so over produced, so auto tuned...it's terrible. When Glee outsells the Beatles, there's something wrong. When Katy Perry and Justin Bieber are both considered musicians and both need software to get those voices, there's something wrong. When Chris Brown can still be treated as an equal after everything he's done...there's something wrong.

And then you have The Walking Dead...a show AMC keeps disrespecting (they give Mad Men way more money and exposure, and get nothing much for it) and yet it keeps plowing forward, destroying all in its path. Even though last night's episode wasn't the greatest, it was still better than the alternative.
