1953 – the first was drawn by Mary Gillick

1965 – Arnold Machin created a portrait of the Queen wearing a jewel-studded tiara

1990 – Dora de Pedery Hunt of Toronto was commissioned to paint the first effigy of a reigning monarch by a Canadian artist.

2003 – Vancouver, B.C. artist Susanna Blunt created the current effigy.
