Is Harry a Team Canada fan?

- August 2nd, 2012

Sure, he has to cheer for Team GB, but Prince Harry took some time out Thursday to hang with Canadian Olympians.

He was at the pool Wednesday when Canadian Brent Hayden took bronze in the 100m freestyle.

On Thursday, he visited Canada House and received a Canadian team jacked from Canadian Olympic Committee president Marcel Aubut, watched television with the others as the women’s 8-member rowing team take silver and took photos with some of our athletes.

It’s nice that a member of our royal family isn’t just focused on Great Britain during the Olympics.

Meanwhile, the prince apparently told Canadian athletes he’s “too old” to party like he used to.

From a blog post on the Canoe.ca’s The Podium:

He chatted with Canadian Michael Tayler about the Olympics, and when the slalom kayaker asked the prince where was a good place to go out at night in London, helicopter pilot Harry reportedly said: “I don’t go out anymore. I’m too old, I’m too old.”

Somehow, I doubt that very much.

In my opinion, the best answer to your question is “Who cares?” You’re talking about a person who has yet to accomplish anything other than being born into a particular family (which, I’m sure, was completely beyond his control). And the family that he was born into has yet to accomplish anything other than siphoning undeserved riches from their “subjects”.

You cannot argue the fact that who your parents are is absolutely the least deserving source of respect. So as far as if someone who is completely lacking in any source of respect is a Team Canada fan, I couldn’t care less.

Gary, Prince Harry is a combat veteran and a member of the UK armed forces. He served in action in Afghanistan and is scheduled to go back. His is most definitely worthy of resepct and he has accomplished much. His family has done a great deal and costs very little. They Royal family have long provided strength and inspiration in dark times such as during the second world war.

Mike Fantastic comment, someone who actually know what there talking about when it comes to the Monarchy. Gary Members of the Royal Family have served in every War Queen Elizabeth in WW2 Prince Andrew in the Falklands War as a Helicopter pilot. Prince Harry in Afghanistan, thats not in your words siphoning undeserved riches from their subjects that serving there subjects.

Boy thats tough, does his butler fly the helicopter too, or just one of his security minders – This is all just more fluff for the royal watching gawkers, its well known their “serving” is sheltered from any actual risk and thus deserves no respect.
