I will be cheering for Team Canada as I watch the Summer Olympics, but I will certainly have my eyes peeled for Zara Phillips, who is set to compete on Team GB in the equestrian events.

The equestrian events get underway July 28 in London’s Greenwich Park. Eventing is the first event, followed by dressage (Aug. 2, 3 & 7) and jumping (Aug. 4-6).

Phillips – the Queen’s granddaughter and daughter of Princess Anne – was named to the team earlier this year.

Both Phillips’ mother and father rode in the Olympic Games for Great Britain: Her mother competed in Montreal in 1976 and her father, Mark, was a team gold medallist at Munich in 1972 and won silver in Seoul in 1988.
