Princess Eugenie has earned her degree in English literature and art history.
“Newcastle University has given me such an incredible three years. I have had a wonderful time in the North East, learning and having a fantastic experience,” the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, said in a statement, the Express reported.
“The staff and tutors at Newcastle have guided me through my years there and given me great support. I am so lucky to have spent time there.”
Her parents, who are divorced but still live together, also issued a statement.
“Eugenie has worked incredibly hard to achieve this excellent result and we are immensely proud of what she has done, particularly gaining a first in her dissertation,” they said in the joint statement.
Now it’s time for the princess to get a job. It’s been reported she has been told she will not be a “working royal” – so will not be sent to official events to represent the royal family.
