He’s just shy of his two month birthday, but Prince George has been named “the most influential person in London” by the Evening Standard.
Let’s hope this kind of thing doesn’t go to his wee tiny head.
The newspaper releases an annual Power 1,000 list, and it says George was given the title “because he has become the capital’s biggest global ambassador.”
“London is a magnet for the rest of the world and our newest power resident, Prince George, is a timely symbol,” editor Sarah Sands said.
“He is our greatest tourist attraction, along with his great-grandmother, which is why he has been chosen this year as the first among Londoners.”
Five members of the royal family made the top 20, including the Duchess of Cambridge, Princes William and Harry, and the Queen.
(Former Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney – who is now the Bank of England Governor – was third on the list.)
Meanwhile, there are reports Prince William and Kate are working on a spare to their heir.
In an “exclusive,” the cover of Life & Style magazine declares the royal couple are working on baby number two already and hope Kate will be pregnant by Christmas so they can announce the happy news to family.
I feel for Kate. She’s still probably hormonal, still trying to get a handle of this whole mom thing, and already the world’s tabloid magazines are back at it, all up in her uterus. She’s already got every photographer locked on her every time she goes out and headlines declaring how she’s losing her baby weight. The last thing she needs is anyone (family, friends or grocery store tabloids) speculating about when she’s going to pop another kid out.
Can we all please give the duchess and her reproductive organs a break for a bit?
