Yadier Molina leaves crackers at home plate for brother

- July 24th, 2014

If this isn’t a fine example of brotherly love, I don’t know what is.

In between innings on Wednesday, injured St. Louis Cardinal Yadier Molina planted two packages of cheese crackers at home plate for his brother, Tampa Bay Rays catcher Jose Molina.

Yadier, who is on the disabled list with thumb issues, convinced St. Louis’ third base coach to drop the goodies off before Jose was back on the field.

We’re not sure the exact meaning of this gesture. But, does it really matter? The Molinas clearly look out for each other.

Both seem to possess a good sense of humour, too. After all, upon noticing the crackers, a wide-grinning Jose slid the packages into his back pants pocket and continued on with his catching duties.

OK, on three, everybody say,”Awwwwwwww!” for this precious bro moment.

(Side note: Yadier sure dug deep to get that wax out of his ear, eh?)
