Kate Upton shows Tigers catcher how to be swimsuit model

- March 3rd, 2014

Before you read any further, allow me to apologize in advance.

Because, as you well know,  things can’t be unseen. And the reality is, some things should never be seen. This is one of them. Sorry, folks.

Yeah, I know. That photo, tweeted out by Detroit Tigers pitcher Joba Chamberlain, requires a little explaining.

First, that’s Sports Illustrated cover model (and possibly former Cy Young winner Justin Verlander’s new girlfriend) Kate Upton on the right.

The, uh, swimsuit model (who will forever be etched in your brain) on the left is Tigers catcher Bryan Holaday. The mini-sombrero is a nice touch, albeit perhaps a bit distracting.

Clearly, Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer (foreground) is enjoying the festivities. (Yes, Bryan, we’re laughing WITH you, not AT you.)

During a team dinner, for some reason (and I’m not suggesting alcohol was a factor) Holaday thought it would be a good idea to get some tips on how to pose like a swimsuit model from, well, a swimsuit model. And Upton is among the best in the field.

Naturally, Chamberlain felt the need (thanks, Joba!!) to share the pic with his 132,000 Twitter followers. But he was considerate enough to give us a side shot of Holaday, not the full frontal.
