Major League Baseball banned home-plate collisions in December.
Luckily for us, the Australian Baseball League is not only in progress in the middle of our winter but it has also not banned home-plate collisions (an excellent combination, really).
Last week a pair of ABL teams, the Brisbane Bandits and Sydney Blue Sox, engaged in a bench-clearing brawl.
The hoopla commenced when Bandits infielder Patrick Leonard ran over Blue Sox catcher Daniel Arribas.

As far as baseball fights go, this one is alright. At least one punch was thrown and several heads were locked.
