New York Yankees can’t spell Jacoby Ellsbury’s name

Turns out Don Cherry isn’t the only one who struggles with Jacoby Ellsbury’s name.

The New York Yankees also had a hard time introducing their new $153 million man to Yankee Stadium.

You have to feel sorry for the guy though.

First he leaves the World Series champions Boston Red Sox to play for their arch-rivals, the New York Yankees, for a seven year, $153 million contract in the ‘Big Apple’.

And now no one can get the 30-year-old centre fielder’s name right.

I’m sure he’ll survive.

As long as they spell his name correctly on his pay cheque, I don’t think he really cares.

For $153 million, they can spell my name any way they want!
