Rockies spell Troy Tulowitzki’s name wrong for jersey giveaway

- July 26th, 2014

Troy Tulowitzki is the best player on a poor Colorado Rockies squad, and they’re still trying to learn his name.

What was supposed to be a giveaway honouring the club’s All-Star shortstop, turned into a complete PR nightmare.

As the Rockies printed 15,000 t-shirts with Tulowitzki misspelled on Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

‘TULOWIZKI’.

Well at least the fortunate 15,000 at Coors Field will have a keepsake symbolic of the season the Rockies have had so far, one to forget.

Lucky for the Rockies, who sit in last place in the NL West at 42-60, the New York Yankees also screwed up the last name of one of their biggest stars, calling Jacoby Ellsbury, Jacoby Ellsubry.

Don’t take it personally Troy, if you haven’t heard, Denver hasn’t gotten much done since marijuana was made legal.
