Blue Jays’ Munenori Kawasaki does a birthday dance

- June 4th, 2014

In case you were wondering, Toronto Blue Jays fans, Munenori Kawasaki is still doing Munenori Kawasaki things.

Playing in triple-A Buffalo this season, Kawasaki charmed baseball fans by celebrating his 33rd birthday Tuesday with a special dugout dance after the Bisons wished him a happy birthday.

Well, it was less of a dance and more like weird, crazy eye movements.

Enjoy.

Sorry, I probably should have explained my post up there, in case anyone missed the event that I was referring to.

When Kawasaki first introduced himself to Toronto’s fans, he did a little song that went something like “I am Munenori Kawasaki …. I am from Japan ….. I am Japaneeeeeeeeeeeeese!”. It’s probably on YouTube somewhere. It’s very funny and extremely memorable, probably part of the reason why he’s so popular.

That song was my very first thought when I saw this article.

I suppose that’s what AVP meant when he said that Kawasaki is “still doing Munenori Kawasaki things”. :-)
