EA Sports gave us all a quick sneak peak at what we can expect from their latest hockey game, NHL 15.
The holy grail of hockey video games released a 49-second teaser on Monday, to wet the appetite of fans across North America.
There may not be much game play in the ad, but it does enough to get you pumped up for the newest edition from the series.
EA Sports also announced that a new commentary team will be in place for NHL 15.
As NBC Sports duo Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick and former Toronto Maple Leaf Eddie Olczyk take over for Gary Thorne and Bill Clement.
This is the first time since 2006 that Thorne and Clement won’t be the voices behind EA’s NHL franchise, which will come as a breath of fresh air to many fans.
Clement, known for his horribly boring one-liners, brings back fond memories of the franchise in it’s early days, but it’s good to see EA moving on.
TSN’s Ray Ferraro will also be joining the XBox ONE version, providing supplemental commentary from the ice level, according to Polygon.
You can once again vote for who you want on the front cover.
This year’s quarterfinalists for the front cover are Erik Karlsson, Logan Couture, T.J. Oshie, Phil Kessel, Matt Duchene, Patrice Bergeron, Drew Doughty and P.K. Subban.
All I ask is that the focus be on upgrading gameplay and crowd graphics, which haven’t changed since NHL 13.
