Patrick Kane dominates in Buffalo beer league action

- July 22nd, 2014

Patrick Kane is back in Buffalo for the summer, and thank goodness he’s staying out of trouble this time.

The Chicago Blackhawks star forward showed up to a men’s league in Buffalo on Monday night, helping the Amer North Piranhas win 13-5 over Essex St. Pub.

Kane picked up five goals and five assists, which is kind of low beer league numbers for the 25-year-old.

The more startling numbers were that of Vinny Scarsella, a forward for the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL.

Vinny put seven goals and two assists against Essex St.’s goalie, Willie Stewart.

So despite Kane recently signing matching eight-year, $84-million contract extensions with teammate Jonathan Toews, we should be giving more love to Scarsella, the true young superstar of the Buffalo beer league.

But, mainly, Scarsella deserves more love because of the killer name.

Vinny Scarsella. Don’t mess with that guy.
