Penguins forward Beau Bennett shows off wicked surgery scars

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Beau Bennett suffered a wrist injury this past season that never fully healed. He was originally scheduled to miss three months before a setback added a few more weeks to his recovery period.

Tired of waiting, he declined surgery and decided to play out the rest of the season hurt. He returned in late March to play the team’s final nine regular season games and 12 playoff games.

Now that the Penguins are no longer in the post-season, Bennett got the surgery and decided to share the results with his Twitter followers Tuesday.

So this is what the scar looks like after a wrist operation.

But it’s OK. He’s stoked that it’s finally over with.
