Penguins’ Dupuis pulls tooth out on bench during game

- October 30th, 2013

Best known for being Sidney Crosby’s trusty linemate, Pascal Dupuis doesn’t garner much attention outside of Pittsburgh.

Wednesday night, the 34-year-old Penguins forward, flanked by a team trainer, yanked a tooth — maybe more than one? — out of his mouth while taking a breather on the bench. Dupuis endured a high-stick to the face from teammate Kris Letang the shift prior.

The nonchalant act, captured beautifully in GIF form by the Penguins PR team, is sure to get Dupuis some points with NHL fans everywhere.

And hey, look at that, Dupuis managed to grab an assist shortly after. (Pittsburgh eventually defeated the Boston Bruins, 3-2.)

New York Islanders superstar John Tavares gave the world a similar tooth-pulling show two weeks ago.

Bask in the manliness, will ‘ya?

If that was a baseball player, he’d be on the DL for a month
