What are the Rangers and Kings wearing in the Stanley Cup final?

- June 10th, 2014

Most people wouldn’t think there’s a huge difference between wearing a pair of Winnwell gloves instead of Bauer, but don’t tell the L.A. Kings that.

Purehockey.com has put together an elaborate infographic highlighting what each Stanley Cup finalist are using for skates, gloves and sticks — and the numbers are very intriguing.

Clearly most players on the Kings love Bauer through and through, while the Rangers mainly favour Bauer but are more spread out with other brands for their skates.

Some interesting numbers from the graphic?

Winnwell apparently still exists (5% of the Rangers use their gloves), and Vaughn (5% of the Kings use their gloves) makes more than goalie gear.

Generally, the difference between premier brands is minimal and really just comes down to what fits each player better and if they’re endorsed by a certain manufacturer.

But, let’s face it, that won’t stop every 13-year-old hockey playing kid in this country to buy Bauer skates now that he knows what the two best teams rock them.
