Armless ping pong player shows us how it’s done

- May 12th, 2014

Most of us in North America don’t take table tennis too seriously.

We generally associate the sport with university dorm life, where the table and balls are used for drinking games, not actually swinging the paddle around.

Allow Ibrahim Hamato to squash your lame outlook on ping pong.

He suffered a horrible accident as a child, loosing both of his arms in the process.

But his passion and love for ping pong was so immense, that he learned to play without his arms.

Hamato recently visited the World Team Table Tennis Championships in Toyko, to meet up and play around with some of the world’s best.

And based on the video, the guy turned some heads.

How he gets that serve off using his foot, then proceeds to nail the ball holding the paddle in his mouth, I will never know.
