Sometimes it makes sense to keep goal celebrations in hockey low key.
You know, avoid the big group hug for something a little less demonstrative. Maybe a polite bow or high fives among teammates.
I’m guessing Minnesota Golden Gophers Hudson Fasching and Brady Skjei would probably agree after a, ahem, slightly embarrassing mishap during a game Friday against Boston College.
After Fasching, a Los Angeles Kings prospect, scored 30 seconds into the game, the usual jubilation occurred, with Skjei, a first-round pick of the New York Rangers in 2012, right at the centre of it. But it didn’t end how either player would have liked, no doubt.
I’m not going to explain it. Better if you just watch what happens when the two Gophers have a meeting of the minds. Literally.
