Ray Niedzwiecki’s last ball had let him down so many times.
But after 11 previous 11-strike games, the 81-year-old bowler finally netted a perfect, 12-strike 300 game.
“It just kept getting louder and louder every time that he got up,” Mark Mancini, the owner of Modern Lanes in Swoyersville, Penn., told WNEP Channel 16.
“When he got up to the 10th frame, everything just kind of stopped.”
That’s when the cameras turned on.
“You’ve got to practise a lot, and you’ll get better,” Niedzwiecki told the station. “Don’t give up.”
It only took him 65 years.
He said he plans to throw rocks for years to come.
