Last night’s UFC 168 weigh-in was, uh, interesting to say the least

There’s a reason Dana White’s net worth is up around $300 million.

The UFC president understands what sells: sex and violence.

The former is a department typically reserved for ring girls, the scantily-clad models who parade around the octagon between rounds.

Sometimes, though, sex and violence meet, forming a spectacle the average UFC fanatic salivates over.

Take Friday night’s UFC 168 weigh-in in Las Vegas, where a pair of bombshells — bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey and contender Meisha Tate — offered the best of both worlds.

It was marketing at its finest — Tate, 27, ventured out to be weighed wearing a snug cocktail dress and Rousey, 26, opting for jeans and a tankini.

Oh, and both wore – what else? – boots.

It was enough to get ring announcer Joe Rogan excited, too.

I must admit, I don’t like mixed martial arts. I view it as little more than legalized cockfighting.

But this titillating rivalry even has me interested in tuning in Saturday night.
