Overzealous mother comes to MMA son’s aid after he’s KOed

- March 12th, 2014

Talk about amateur hour.

It’s not often you see a mother leap to her MMA-fighter son’s aid.

But I guess that’s to be expected from an amateur league like the Ohio Fighting Championship (OFC).

The aforementioned incident occurred earlier this week when the third fight of the night in Columbus – Caleb Frasher vs. Joe Fisher – ended when Fisher passed out, courtesy a rear-naked choke in less than a minute.

That’s that, right? Doctor in, fight over.

Normally, yes. But it wasn’t over for Fisher’s mom, who scaled the nine-foot cage to come to her son’s aid.

And, according to bluegrassmma.com, “police had to escort her out of the cage while the medics took care of Fisher.”

There’s no love like a mother’s love, even in MMA apparently.

You’ve heard there’s no crying in baseball, right?

Well, there are no moms in the Octagon, either.
