Down goes Scott! Down goes Scott! Big left hand drops NHL bully

- April 14th, 2014

John Scott is a forward for the Buffalo Sabres. He’s 6-foot-8, 259 pounds.

What’s that old saying? The bigger they are, the harder they fall?

Turns out it’s true.

Early in the first period of Sunday’s Sabres-Islanders game, Scott was involved in a heavyweight tilt with Isles’ call-up Justin Johnson.

Johnson weighs in at 6-foot-1, 220 pounds. His weight, it seems, is situated firmly in his fists.

Johnson was able to weather a barrage of snuffs from Scott before landing a massive left hand on Scotts’ chin, dropping him like a sack of potatoes.

You could see Scott and Johnson chatting during pre-game warmups, and considering the kind of player Scott is, he was setting up the scrap.

It didn’t seem to phase Scott, though, as he got up quickly with a sadistic smile on his face as he skated towards the box. What an animal.

Here are a few more dandy scraps from this season:

What a stupid title.Johnson is a year older then Scott and has been in pro hockey just as long as Scott and wont qualify as a rookie under the age limit.Johnson hasn’t been playing in the minors because of his scoring prowess-just one tough guy fighting another tough guy.

Aww, all you poor babies who curl up and cover your eyes in the corner.
Your mommies warm embrace beckons. Celi: you got the guts to let this post through.
Me thinks not. I weep for the future.
