Toronto councillor has a go at Rob Ford during Super Bowl

- February 3rd, 2014

The anti-Rob Ford wing of Toronto city council didn’t take Super Bowl Sunday off.

No, Josh Matlow, Toronto City Councillor for Ward 22, had a bit fun with His Worship while watching the Seattle Seahawks pound the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Much was made of Ford wearing a Denver jersey ahead of Sunday’s Big Game.

After all, after Toronto’s embattled mayor wore an Argos jersey late last year, the Double Blue went on to lose in the conference final to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

So, Matlow put two and two together.

Toronto’s next mayoral election goes Oct. 27 of this year.
