Watch: Behind the scenes look at Anderson Silva’s gruesome injury

- January 29th, 2014

If you thought the live look at Anderson Silva’s broken leg wrapping around Chris Weidman’s knee wasn’t disgusting enough, you’re in for some bonus coverage.

After Silva suffered the horrific — possibly career-ending — injury at UFC 168 last month, UFC’s official YouTube account has released an all-access look at the middleweight championship fight between Silva and Weidman.

The video is filmed from the perspective of UFC president Dana White, and gives  viewers a behind-the-scenes look at fighters gearing up for the event.

Silva doesn’t appear until the 9:55 mark of the video, but White eventually provides an extremely hard to watch, yet captivating , first-person point of view of the pain Silva endured.

(WARNING: GRAPHIC VIDEO WILL DISTURB SOME)

When Anderson Silva, a man who makes a living kicking the crap out of trained pros, is shedding tears, that’s a telltale sign just how gnarly this injury was — not that you needed proof.

The unfortunate part was the response backstage by Saved by the Bell pretty boy Mario Lopez, who congratulated Weidman.

“That was awesome,” Lopez said.

More like Bone-chilling.
