World record? Watch this MMA fighter get dropped in 1.13 seconds

- March 18th, 2014

First rule of combat sports: Always keep your hands up.

Otherwise, like poor Sam Heron found out, expect your head to get punted into the third row.

In what might be the fastest KO in the history of combat sports, big Mike Garret laid waste to Heron during WCMMA Warrior Challenge 14, an MMA setup featured prominently in the UK.

It took 1.13 seconds.

To put this into context, Guinness lists the world’s fastest boxing knockout as being four seconds.

Along with his jaw, we’re guessing Heron’s pride is hurting a little bit after he posted this before the fight.

OH COME ON!!! Look at that scrawny kid! Is it any wonder he went down with one punch! Heck, who was stupid enough to even let him enter the ring to begin with??

I guess in the UK they have different rules? How did they put up a fight with a 170lb ripped guy versus a 120 pound skin and bones guy? (just guessing at the weights, I couldn’t be bothered to watch it all, if they even gave those stats)
