Youngsters keeping NASCAR relevant

- September 9th, 2012

Grey beard Kevin Harvick, at 36, may have won the Nationwide Series Virginia 529 College Savings 250 Friday at Ruchmond International Raceway but it was the exploits of some much younger drivers who showed that NASCAR’s future is in good hands. Austin Dillon, 22, looks ready for Cup and his brother Ty Dillon, 20, could well win the NNS championship next season. And Cole Whitt, 21, Ryan Blaney, 18, and Darrel Wallace Jr., 18, all have bright futures in front of them. … As well, a hats off to Dexter Stacey, 19, of Kahnawake, Que., for his performance at RIR where he was headed for a top 15 finish before being punted by Kurt Busch.

Dale Jr. and James Inman out of Tennessee are my favorite drivers. Hot hot hot.
