T.O. says N-O to O.T.!

It’ll probably go down in the books as one of the biggest non-events in the city’s history… “Occupy Toronto” is a bust.

Rich Food? Not Good! flickr.com/photos/w72/6247471980/

It kicked off with great expectations, hoping to mirror the massive protest on Wall Street…. it didn’t happen.

Only a very, very, very small fraction of the city’s “99-percenters” (all who aren’t filthy rich) have bothered to make an appearance.

They’ve turned a park into a hobo junction, tied up some intersections slowing commuters to, and from their JOBS… and flipped off Bay Street.  But they have, to their credit, kept their protest peaceful… so far.

They no longer want what we have, but something different, and they want it now!

Disorganized and unfocused, it appears most are demanding political and economic reform, a bigger piece of the pie that’s now being hogged by the “1-percenters” (those who ARE filthy rich).

No, It's You.

Our form of democracy and capitalism, apparently doesn’t work for them… there must, they say, be a greater distribution of wealth!

While some may have legitimate grievances and a thought or two on how to better their lot, most are just packin’ a big bag of bitches… their lives are broken, and it’s up to the “system” and all their Canadian Comrades to pitch in and fix it!

Well, I sincerely hope they don’t hold their breath, as the vast majority of the “99-percent” they claim to represent, are too busy living their lives.  Despite the media hype, (waaaay too much coverage!) the average Torontonian/Canadian is focused on more important things, like family, friends… and JOBS!

And, Hey!  How ‘bout them Maple Leafs!!!

Capitalism is not perfect, but it is far better than all the other systems around the world, present and historical.
Those opposed to Capitalism would find their happiness in communist countries.

  2. Hi there,

I noticed the photo on your website Hungry Eat the Rich. I’d like to know the source that you used for your photo because it suspiciously looks like my photo which has an all rights reserved creative commons license on it. I don’t recall giving you permission to use the photo on your blog and would appreciate at the very least a photo credit for it. I have included the link to the photo page that I believe you got the photo from in the website part of the leave a comment part. The image looks like you have cropped down from the original.

    Hi, w2photo.
Yes, the photo in the blog does appear to be one from your gallery. I can’t recall where I got it, but I know it wasn’t from your site flickr.com/photos/w72/6247471980/ . The photo appears as I found it and wasn’t cropped. In the event your site was the source of this photo, my apologies. I have updated the blog, noting the source with your web address. Nice work, by the way. If I can find the site where I got the photo, I’ll definitely let you know. Again, my apologies.
    Thnx, Paul
