Rambo; Jackson out vs. B.C.

- July 6th, 2011

The sun was shining but the mood was gloomy at Calgary Stampeders practice Wednesday.
When John Hufnagel stepped up and addressed the media, he instantly confirmed that two key players are out against Friday in Vancouver.
It seems that Ken-Yon Rambo wasn’t in the same mind that he’s not in the lineup. When informed that Hufnagel confirmed he’s out, Rambo bolted into the locker-room and didn’t want to talk about it.
Landan Talley will take his spot in the starting lineup.
If that were the only move this week, the Stamps might be in decent shape.
Linebacker Malik Jackson (concussion) is out. He will be replaced by a combination of Robert McCune and Karl McCartney.
Here are some of the changes:
K Rene Paredes in for Rob Maver (torn quad)
DL Kevin Dixon in for DL DeVone Claybrooks
DB Daren Stone on the roster for Jackson
The good news is slotback Nik Lewis, who took off his gear and went to the locker-room for some treatment mid-practice, should be good to go against the Lions.

  1. Bill Mines says:

I hope that you mean Corey Mace instead of DeVone Claybrooks.
