On Monday night, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, released an official photo of Prince George to the world.
Taken by Kate’s father Michael at the family home in Berkshire, the idyllic photo shows Wills and Kate looking gorgeous and relaxed while posing with their baby boy and the family’s dog, Lupo. It’s such a perfect scene, it’s almost impossible not to melt when looking at their lovely family photo.
When the royal bundle of joy was born in July, the Canadian town of Prince George, B.C. was also thrust into the spotlight when it was announced that the newest royal would bear the same name. But, though the B.C. town shares a name with the new royal, it was actually named after Prince George III, who ruled England from 1760 to 1820.
