Will it be lucky No. 13 for Black Sabbath?
The metal gods are set to release a brand new studio album, “13,” in June.
The effort will have original members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, with Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk replacing Bill Ward (who dropped out last year).
It will be produced by seven-time Grammy winner Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Beastie Boys, Metallica) and will be released in June. It’s their first album since 1978′s “Never Say Die!”
Work on the record was slowed due to Iommi’s cancer battle, but it is hoped he will be well enough to rejoin his bandmates for a number of 2013 shows.
