Looks like the real Slim Shady is set to stand up again this year.
Billboard.com reports that Eminem is “far into the process” of recording his as-yet-untitled studio album, and will be released sometime after the U.S. Memorial holiday (May 27), according to Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg.
“We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He’s been working on it for some time,” Rosenberg said. “It’s safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we’re not exactly sure when.”
First things first, however, Rosenberg also stated that Shady Records is planning on releasing 50 Cent’s much-delayed album “Street King Immortal” in the first half of this year as well, although there is no confirmed street date yet. You can bet that there will be a big space between the two releases.
Eminem has scheduled a handful of European summer dates, including headlining gigs at both the Reading and Leeds music festivals in August.
