For Mumford & Sons, it could be considered sales of biblical proportions, and for Gwen Stefani and co., it’s no doubt a huge disappointment.
The English folk rockers latest offering, “Babel,” hit the chart big time on both sides of the border this week, hitting No. 1 with ease, while No Doubt‘s first studio album in 11 years, “Push & Shove” whimpered in at No. 5 here in Canada, with measly sales of 8,000.
M&S’s “Babel” accomplished the top Great White North billing with healthy sales of 75,000, making it the best debut of 2012, while south of the border the album rung up 600,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan number crunchers.
Other first week appearances included Toronto’s own DJ extraordinaire Deadmau5 at No. 2 with “Album Title Goes Here” (13,000), and Green Day‘s first of three consecutive releases, “”¡Uno!” (12,000), at No. 3.

No Doubt did good to be honest, after all these years, to be in the top 5 even is great! On the USA Billboard chart, they are number 3, very close behind Green day, so to be honest, they’ve done incredibly well!
Amazing numbers for Mumford & Sons.
No Doubt’s numbers are decent, considering they’ve been gone for so long, and “Settle Down” barely did anything on the charts. It would’ve been nice to see a bigger comeback though.
P.S. Why aren’t the charts posted on jam.canoe.ca anymore?
never heard this song but the video was done at red rocks in colorado beautiful venue
I too, would like to know why the album charts are no longer on jam/canoe.

Do you know a website.

Hi all:
Unfortunately, we no longer have the rights to run charts anymore, but I’ll continue to give a rundown of the Top 5 each week. Keep it here!
