Beck certainly isn’t a half-miler when it comes to musical projects.
Instead of banging out a cover of David Bowie‘s famous track “Sound and Vision” (off his 1977 album “Low”) and using it as a throwaway b-side, the eccentric singer-songwriter went 1,000 steps further.
He gathered up 160-plus musicians and created a concert stage with 360-degree cameras and binaural microphones in order for viewers to have an interactive online experience of the performance from any seat in the venue (which is coming soon).
Most importantly, he’s taken Bowie’s original track and expanded it into a glorious nine minute opus.
The Thin White Duke would be proud.
